Grown naturally without pesticides, fertilizers or irrigation, bamboo grows to maturity in only four years, replenishing the soil, while absorbing more carbon dioxide and emitting more oxygen into the environment then trees. We are seeing more and more products being made from bamboo everyday and are strong supporters of this incredible plant.

GUATS fabrics blend Viscose from Bamboo (technical term for Bamboo fibre) with Certified Organic Cotton resulting in a remarkable next generation textile that feels like cashmere, yet is easy to care for. Rigorous internal product testing has shown bamboo to have excellent natural performance qualities in inherent in the fiber, without adding chemicals or silver to the knitted fabric. SUSTAINABLE FIBRE PRODUCTION: GUATS yarns are spun with a high quality Viscose from Bamboo fiber. Based on the reports and certifications that we have received from our Bamboo fiber producers, we are very comfortable with the sustainable and responsible approach to producing our Bamboo fiber. The bamboo is sourced from FSC and Organic Certified forests. The viscose production process that converts bamboo plants into a fiber is done within a closed loop production process and hermetic (air tight) environment that contains and recycles materials used in production, minimizing impact to both employees and the environment. The fiber is then OEKO-TEX certified to be free from harmful chemicals.
